Los Monologos de la Vagina

Spanish adaption to Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues in 2017. The adaption was presented and play by Voces in Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon and at the Broadway Rose Theatre in Tigard, Oregon.

The parentheses mark is used in this system as an abstraction to the vagina because in the Latinx community, especially in recent immigrants, sexual talk is taboo. The abstraction serves as way to easily approach the conversation on domestic violence, which greatly plagues our society today.

The bright contrast of pink on black makes it pop in any storefront sign/billboard. The use of Bodoni in the main logo, with its thick and thin strokes gives the logo a more feminine feel to further appeal to women.
