LACE OREGON
LACE Oregon is an organization dedicated to the advancement of Latinas in the executive sector.
LACE, Latinas Associates for Collaborative Engagement of Oregon is a fairly new organization that helps Latinas grow and take on more leadership roles in our community. Serving as examples for other Latinas and youth to follow in their footsteps and become a force of change.
The Logo: Tejiendo en Proceso
The logo had to convey the story of the brand, a network of Latina professionals at its core. As the a dynamic organizations, it is always looking for new connections. The process of creating was something inspiring.
The traiditiona process of actual lace is a meticulous process done by hand. Given the Latina roots, I explored tejidos of servilletas—traditional knitting in the latino community. Looking at the process of tejiendo one notices the action of tejer, loops after loops interconnecting each other in a network of individiual loops to creating a unique and piece. Tejiendo en Proceso captures the action of the hilo of interweaving the past and moving into the future.
