Unofficial Book Jackets for Junot Diaz’s Books

Project Background:

This series is based on Junot Diaz’s books that share a common character. The series is designed to tie them together with paintings inspired by the rich and colorful murals of the Dominican Republic. These book jackets are unofficial. The project was born out of pure fanaticism and admiration for the writing style of Junot Diaz. Captivated by the book, “The brief and wondrous life of Oscar Wao”, I had to read the other two. I learned they share the same character in all three books and thus inspired me to design a series that would tie them all together.
